A Cornwall Honeymoon in the 1930s

Peter Rodger has kindly sent me copies of some photographs taken during his parents' honeymoon in July 1934 including a couple of letters in reply to his father's enquiry about accommodation.  They opted for staying at "Froe" in St. Anthony-in-Roseland and appear to have taken a couple of photos which replicate the view used on the Froe letterhead.  The letters are quite interesting and describe some of the local attractions and the benefits of staying at each house.

I cannot identify all the locations and would be pleased if anyone who can would email me at the address below with details.

The picture appears to have been taken at Clovelly, Devon, presumably en route

Also at Clovelly, Devon, compare this photo

St. Mawes Castle

St. Mawes Castle

Identified by Jacqui Woodcock:
The photograph with the cow on the beach is Towan beach. This used to be known as Cows' beach. It is very close to Froe (less than half a mile) and is now in the hands of the National Trust.
A recent photo from Jacqui

Thanks to Jacqui for these identifications - I've somehow lost your email address so I hope that you see this

"Froe" in St. Anthony-in-Roseland

Identified by Jacqui Woodcock:
The photographs with the old gentleman and horse are on the Gerrans - St Anthony Lane by Froe Mill Pool. The wall still
exists today and must have been very new then. There was an old water pumping station in the lane which was powered by a wind generator on top of the hill. Perhaps the man was fetching water?

Identified by Jacqui Woodcock:
The harbour with the flag is Clovelly Harbour, I'm attaching a
recent photograph for you to compare

This photo is by Peter's G G Grandfather of "Carclew Cottage" and was probably taken around 1897. It does not seem to be anywhere near Carclew House on the outskirts of Mylor. Where is it? Can anyone give me the answer?
